The Earth Is Not Flat

Recently there has been an influx of people thinking the earth is flat when it clearly is round. Well, I am here to prove that the earth is well and truly round.

For one where is the real evidence that the earth is flat? From the site Indy 100, it claims that according to flat-earthers no one has laid claim to the south pole because it is a 360-degree ring around the earth holding in the oceans. Other people claim you cannot see the curve on the earth when you stand on the beach when you clearly can. Also if the earth is flat how come you can fly east from New Zealand to Chile without going off the edge of the earth.

Some even dumber people believe the earth is doughnut shaped which is stupid because there is not a massive hole in the centre of the earth.

The earth is a sphere and anyone who believes it is not is extremely stupid.

Champions League Quarter Final Preveiw

With the quarter-final draw all set it's time to take a look at the biggest matches of the UEFA Champions League Quarter Finals. The biggest match would arguably be Juventus vs Real Madrid with both teams being given 35% odds of winning. This will be a chance for Paulo Dybala to prove he is better than the aging Cristiano Ronaldo. I predict a scoreline of 2-1 to Juve with goals from Ronaldo, Dybala, and Douglas Costa.

In the second biggest game of the round Liverpool face off against Man City in what will surely be an absolute classic. Salah, Firmino, Mane, Sane, Sterling, Jesus, and Aguero are all on fire so prepare for an absolute classic. Rumors are going around that Liverpool fans a preparing a colorful and potentially illegal welcome for the Man City bus as it approaches Anfield involving flares. I predict a 2-1 win to Liverpool as they are currently in devastating form with goals from Salah, Firmino and Sane.

In other matches that no one really cares about Sevilla will take on German giants Bayern Munich. I predict a 3-0 scoreline with two goals for Lewandowski and one for Sandro Wanger. In the final game where Barca take on Roma, I say 3-1 to Barcelona with two goals from Lionel Messi who is on fire with another goal to Dembele and one from Roma's El Sharaaway.

Let's get on a great UCL Quarter Final Stage!

Mo Salah! Liverpool 5-0 Watford

Mo Salah has yet again proven his brilliance in a dazzling display at Anfield on Saturday (Sunday NZ), scoring four times in a 5-0 demolition of Watford. Salah's brilliance was clearcut within five minutes, bamboozling a Watford defender in such a way that he fell over before calmly finishing into the bottom corner. Salah also provided the assist for Roberto Firmino's superb backheel. Salah's third goal was just class, he fooled four defenders before finishing while falling over. Liverpool has yet again shown their brilliance.

Salah is now on thirty-six league goals

Chelsea VS Barcelona: The Preveiw

On Thursday Chelsea and Barcelona go head to head at the Camp Nou to decide who progresses to the Champions League Quarter Finals. A few players will miss the match for a variety of reasons. For Barcelona, Nelson Semedo is suspended while Coutinho cannot play in the champions league due to playing for Liverpool in pool play. Luiz and Bakayoko ar injury concerns but should be fit by Thursday. I predict Barcelona, 3-1 Chelsea with Messi scoring twice, as well as goals from Suarez and Willian. This will be one of the best games this season so bring it on!

Chelsea fans will remember Iniesta's last minute goal in 2009

5 Things We Learned From This Week's Football

  1. Tottenham Still Can't Win Silverware, after being beaten by Juventus 2-1 at Wembley, Tottenham's hopes of winning any major silverware bit the dust, again.
  2. Ronaldo Is Back In Form, CR7 has announced his return to form with goals in both rounds of sixteen matches to fire Real Madrid into the Quarter Finals.
  3. Man City Are Unstoppable, after beating Chelsea 1-0 in a moral crushing win Man City have proven themselves absolutely unstoppable (except for when they play Wigan😆)
  4. West Brom's Tactic Need Improvement, with five losses in their last five games, West Brom's tactics really need improving, playing a 9-0-1 formation is not how you avoid coming 20th in the league with minus 21 goal difference.
  5. Salah Is A Beast, when Mo Salah scored against Newcastle it took his season goals to 24 and equalled Harry Kane in the race for the EPL Golden Boot. Salah was also voted Match Magazine's Player Of The Month.

Liverpool 2-0 Newcastle

On Saturday (Sunday NZ Time) Liverpool played their way to a 2-0 win against Newcastle at Anfield. I was lucky enough to see Salah's well-worked opener but missed Mane's second-half goal. Mane's second-half goal well and truly ruined Rafa Benitez's return to Anfield. A number of Liverpool fans noticed Mane copying Firmino's trademark celebration of bowing to the Anfield crowd. Another great win for the reds.
