My Weekly Reflection T2W9

This week I have become a proud supporter of Lionel Messi writing that I tink that he is the footballing GOAT.

For my Matariki creation, I worked with Leon and Daniel to create a star out of dominos. It didn't work very well as it stopped but then on Friday the Paua and I created a turtle out of dominos and it worked!

Next week I think I need to work on writing my blog posts about something other than football.

Confusion At The Confederations Cup As Referee Shows A Red Card To The Wrong Player

At the latest Confederations Cup match in Russia, the new VAR (Video Assistant Referee) has come under fire after causing confusion an hour into Germany vs Cameroon.

With about an hour gone Ernest Mabouka fouled German and Liverpool midfielder Emre Can. With the referee not knowing what happened, he decided to check the VAR. After reviewing all the replays he made his decision. The ref sent of Sebastian Siana who was not involved with the foul in any way. This then caused outrage from the Cameroon players making the ref check the VAR once more. Eventually, he came to the conclusion that he had sent off the wrong player and then showed red to  Ernest Mabouka. Naughty Ernest.

My Weekly Reflection T2W8

This week I am proud of winning the weekly current events quiz as I usually come second or third.

I think I need to work on multiplying fractions on Mangahigh as I find this really challenging.

Next week my goal is to write a blog post about Liverpool FC.

This Bus Can Drive Right Over Traffic Jams

Engineers in China have designed a bus to combat their severe traffic jams. This bus has a hole through the middle which lets cars drive through it or the bus drive over the cars.

These buses are able to carry 1,400 passengers at a time and are cheaper than the subway. The buses glide on rails and can only follow a set path. Maybe they should install some of these in Auckland's Waterview Tunnel.

The Art Of Panna

Could Football As We Know It Be Coming To An End?

Warning, this post contains horrific crimes against football.

Ifab the organization who make up football rules has put forward a case to Fifa to make games 60 minutes instead of 90. Ifab calls their case play fair with three main points.
 1. To increase playing time??
2. To improve player respect and behavior.
3.To increase attractiveness.

For one how will making the game shorter increase playing time and how will it improve the behavior of the players??

Another suggestion from Ifab was to make players be allowed to pass to themselves at free kicks which would be kind of cool.

If these rules go ahead I wonder how long the Python's games would be? 15 minutes?

Why Paul Pogba Is So Overated

Paul Pogba, the poster boy of world football. The king of dabbing when it is so out of date. But is he even that good?

Pogba was world class at Italian giants Juventus but after a highly speculated move to Manchester United for 89 million pounds the French midfielder flopped. Even with Pogba's drop of form, open goal misses and dabbing the ball the media have constantly reported him as sensational.

Another reason that Pogba is overrated would no doubt be his sponsorship deal with Adidas. I have particularly noticed Adidas putting up massive posters of Pogba at Stirling Spots. Pogba may seem like a football beast but stats and his performance shows that he is not as good as he seems.

Highlanders Just Scrape Past The Lions At Forsyth Bar

Last night at Forsyth Bar the Highlanders had a narrow win against the Lions. The game started with an extremely high tempo with the commentator even stating that the first three minutes had been incredible. The first half finished at 10-10 after an amazing try from Waisake Naholo. With a number of tries in the second half, the game drew to a close at 22-23 to the Highlanders. This was the first game of rugby I have watched in a long time and I loved it.

What Makes A Good Football Shirt

There are some amazing football shirts out there. BVB, PSG, Brazil, Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Germany, Portugal, Croatia, Colombia. These teams and clubs all have distinctive and pretty sick playing shirts. But what makes a great football shirt?

I think a splash of colour makes all the difference in a football shirt. For example, the Barcelona shirt has vibrant red and blue making it stand out and easily recognisable. I also think that a few intricate lines can make a shirt look awesome like the Portugal Shirt.

Here are some of my favourite football shirts,

What Did Ronaldo Do To The Most Legendary Hair Of All Time

If you won the Champions League Final how would you celebrate? Well, Ronaldo thought that he would shave off the most legendary hair of all time to celebrate his teams victory. Looking at the pictures I can now confirm Ronaldo was probably drunk when he did this.

Ronaldo got an extremely short buzz cut making him almost unrecognisable. Now he looks more like Ben Franks than Cristiano Ronaldo as we knew him.

On an online survey, people have voted on what Ronaldo hairstyle they like best. Here are the results.

My Weekly Reflection Term 2 Week 6

This week I found Mangahigh challenging because I did not know what simplify 6X+3. I learned what it meant in a Mangahigh conference with Miss Coles.

I am also happy because I have finished my-my future milestone video which is about me wrecking everyone. I found editing slightly challenging as the iMac was a bit slow:(

My highlight of the week was filming and editing my milestone video because I love making movies and videos like Hitchy's Caretaking Service. This video has got me really excited for the MADE awards as I did it last year and won.

Top 10 Champions League Goals 2016/17

As the Champions League draws to a close we have to celebrate by seeing the best goals of the 2016/17 season.

Transfer Rumours: Utd and Chelsea Want Dybala

Here are the latest transfer rumours, Man Utd are apparently after Paulo Dybala after failing to sign Atletico Madrid star Antione Greizmanne. Meanwhile, Chelsea is after Dybala with the threat of losing Eden Hazard to Real Madrid.

Also, rumour has it that German mega club Bayern Munich is after Everton striker Romelu Lakaku. Lakaku has recently rejected a new contract with Everton for the new premier league season.

Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres is set for a move to Mexican club Queretaro. Torres apparently has had talks about moving with the club owners.

Real Madrid Champions Again

Real Madrid has become champions of the Champions League once again with Ronny (Ronaldo) putting two goals past Juve keeper Gianluigi Buffon to help guide Real to a 4-1 win on Sunday night.

Real got on the score sheet early after a long range effort from Ronaldo but Mario Mandzuckic sublime overhead goal completely eclipsed Ronaldo's. Mandzuckic's goal is being regarded as one of the greatest Champions League final goals ever. I myself think it should win the Puskas Goal of The Year award.

Wenger In

Arsene Wenger has agreed to a two-year contract at Arsenal on Monday after a meeting with Stan Kroenke. This new contract comes after an unsuccessful season finishing fifth for the first time in his thirteen year reign at the club. If Arsey doesn't impress next season there will be some unhappy fans that's for sure.

Transfer News: Are Bayern After Willian?

After the end of two major leagues, La Liga and The Prem the transfer market is going crazy. Bayern Munich is still hunting for a contract with Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez. Meanwhile, rumour has they also want the Brazillian Willian from Chelsea.

Elsewhere it has been confirmed that Colombian playmaker James Rodriguez is set to move to Man Utd. The Madrid attacker has had little game time and poor form which is probably the reason he wants to leave the club.

Man City have also had success signing Bernardo Silva for the 2017/18 season. In a somewhat controversial manner, Mino Raiola has been accused of taking a 40 million pound cut from Pogba's 89 million pound transfer fee from Juventus to Man Utd. These happenings are being investigated by FIFA.

Arsenal Win The FA Cup

After a terrible season, Arsenal has finally triumphed in England winning the FA Cup. Arsenal defeated Chelsea in the final on Sunday 28th of May to claim their 14th FA Cup.

Arsenal went ahead with a goal by star striker Alexis Sanchez which was considered somewhat controversial with a clear handball leading up to the goal. Next Chelsea equalised with a superb goal from Deigo Costa (the elephant man) to make it 1-1. Chelsea was then reduced to ten men after a hilarious dive from Victor Moses.  Then Arron Ramsey head it home for a 2-1 win over the pensioners. Watch the video with the volume on full.

Leicester City Champions To 12th What Happened?

Everyone one remembers the fairy tale triumph of Leicester City in 2016. The odds were so low for them to win that it was more likely for Sir Alex Ferguson to win Strictly I'm Dancing. But the following season the champions flopped finishing 12th in the league, so what happened.

Their horrible title defence started with a 2-1 defeat to Man City in their first game becoming the first title defending team to lose their first game of the season. This was followed by a 6-1 thumping by Tottenham Hotspurs and a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth. After that Leicester's form couldn't recover and they flopped down to 12th place.

But the main reason for Leicester's flop was the form of their star striker Jamie Vardy. Vardy notched up 24 goals in the 2015/16 season but declined dramatically in the 2016/17 only scoring 13. Now I think Leicester are back to being a mid table team but with Leicester you never know.

Arsenal Fail To Qualify For Champions League

After a disappointing season Arsenal have failed to qualify for the champions league after a 13 year run of doing so. Arsenal finished the league in 5th 1 point behind Liverpool which therefore means they miss the cut for the Champions League.

Meanwhile my team Liverpool qualified for the Champions League coming fourth. Also in this years Champions League Juventes and Real Madrid will be facing off for the title on the 4th of June.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane also had success winning the golden boot with 38 goals this season. As the league draws to a close we can get our hopes up for Liverpool next season then become disappointed when they lose again.

Ronaldo Sets Up Real Madrid To Win La Liga

Ronaldo has scored a key goal against Celta Vigo to set Real Madrid up to win La Liga. Being 3 points ahead of Barca with only one game to go, Real only have to win or draw against mid table Malaga. If Madrid win it will be their 33rd time winning the title. Now Barcelona's only hope is that Real lose and they win.

My IE Reflection 2017

After completing my IE research, creation and sharing I have filled out a reflection on how it went. I learnt a lot of things along the way such as the fact that little kids like playing with magnets. I also learnt to give myself more time to get my creation done. After seeing other peoples creations I have got some ideas for next year as well.

Chelsea Wins The League 😭

Chelsea have one the Premier League for the 6th time after a 82nd minute goal by Michy Batshuayi gave the Pensioners the 1-0 win they needed to become unreachable by Tottenham Hotspurs.

Chelsea have earned 87 of the possible 90 points this season and have never had a player sent off. Another key to their success would be signing star players such as Hazard, Pedro, Costa, Luiz, Willian, Fabregas, Moses, Terry, Cahill and Nemanja Matic.

Next year I am still rooting strongly for Liverpool to win. Here Are Some Photo's.

Arsenal Wins, Finally

Arsenal have finally won a game after a horrendous streak of bad form and losses. Arsenal beat Manchester United 2-0 at the Emirates surprising everyone in England and Fraser. The game was relatively boring considering Arsenal's lack of confidence and United's lack of effort. Most fan were saying it felt like a dead rubber game at the end of the season between 20th and 19th not an exciting end of season game between 5th and 6th to decide who gets into the Champions League.

This was coach Arsene Wenger's 13th attempt to beat Jose Mourhino's Man UTD this time finally succeeding. Even the losing 2-0 Mourhino seemed quite relaxed post match for the first time in quite a while.

Sydney FC Win The A-League After Dramatic Penalty Shootout

Sydney FC have won the A-League after a dramatic penalty shootout against Melbourne Victory.

After full time with the game still tied at 1-1 it went to extra time but the to sides were to evenly matched ensuring that the game would come down to penalty's. Sydney won the shoot out after New Zealander Marco Rojas missed his attempt at goal.

Sydney FC have now retained their title as one of the most successful teams in A-League. Hopefully next year the Wellington Phoenix will win.

Alves Back heel Inspires Juventes' Win Against Monaco

A superb back heel from Brazilian Juventes superstar Dani Alves has inspired a 2-0 win against Monaco in the Champions League semi final last night (May 4th).

The back heel came in the 29th minute to set up Gonzalo Higuain to score his first goal of the night. Then just past the hour mark the Alves, Higuain struck again to make it 2-0.

With one leg of the semi left play it is looking like a Real Madrid, Juventes final considering Real's 3-0 win over Athletico Madrid also with only one leg to play.

Best Steps Of All Time (In My Opinion)

FC Barcelona Eliminated From Champions League

Just a few short weeks after preforming the biggest comeback in Champions League history against PSG FC Barcelona have been eliminated after drawing 0-0 with Italian superstars Juventes. Barcelona needed to win by a margin of 4 goals to qualify for the semi finals but did they score one, never.

The teams going to the semi finals are Juventes, Real Madrid, Athletico Madrid and Monaco. Who do you think will win. Also Ronaldo says SUUUUUUUUUU!

Cassini Space Craft Flies Between Saturn's Wings

Wednesday April 26th the day the Cassini spacecraft flew between Saturn's rings becoming the first space craft to do so.

A day later NASA released these unprocessed (dust and particles are still in the shot) images taken from the spacecraft. Even though being in low definition and black and white they are still amazing considering they were taken at speeds of 77,000 mph.

This is a picture of a cyclone in Saturn's atmosphere.

These two pictures show patterns of cloud and banding in Saturn's atmosphere.
