Football, the world's favorite game. Created in the early 19th century by the English it soon grew into the most popular sport in the world. But how has it evolved from then to now?
Firstly we need to take a look at the players from then to now, take Pele and Ronaldo (Cristiano) for example, two incredibly different physics.
Pele is more of a slim speedster who relies more on aspects such as ball control more than physical strength. Then we have Ronaldo who is a lot bulkier and taller and can use his physical ability to score more types of goals than players of Pele’s time.
Next, we need to take a look at how football was broadcast to a wider audience over the years. Before tv’s most people not at the game would listen to the commentaries over the radio. Then when tv came along more and more people were able to watch football from almost anywhere in the world.
And finally, we take a look at how the ball that the players kick has evolved. The earliest balls were made of pig skin which was blown up by people, not pumps. Then when pumps were invented they started making balls with leather and then slowly evolved them into perfectly rounded balls made of vulcanized rubber. So from the 1500’s to 2017, a lot has changed in the game the world loves so much.
