The Liverpool Beach Ball Conspiracy

Liverpool Vs Arsenal: 4-0!!!🤣😝

Liverpool has crushed Arsenal at Anfield 4-0 to jump up to 2nd on the Premier League Table 2 points behind leaders Man UTD. Former England international and Man UTD midfielder Gary Nevvile slammed the combination Ozil and Walcott calling them pathetic and recognized their inability to track back. Liverpool's goals came from strikers Mane and Firmino to seal a hilarious win at home for Liverpool.

Liverpool Record First Win Of The Season: Then Arsenal, Well...

Liverpool has recorded their first win of their league campaign with a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace. Striker Sadio Mane scored the winner late in the game to snatch the win for Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Arsenal has lost to Stoke 1-0 to the controversy of an offside goal from Stoke. This loss has no doubt awakened some demons from last season inside coach Arsene Wenger.

My Poem Writing

Here is my poem, do you like it?

There he charged alone,
With a cry low and loud,
There he heard a groan,
And saw a blood red cloud.

There he rode outnumbered,
By odds of ten to one,
His men lay dead in the fields,
Shot down by the enemy's guns.

But still, he rode on,
Under heavy fire,
The battle was not yet won,
Till then he would not retire.

Out flanked by the enemy’s power,
Surrounded on all sides,
But still, he would not cower,
Neither he would hide.

His brave horse's mane crested with red,
All his comrades lay still,
Their hearts stopped by lead.

The bullet came flying,
Colliding with his head,
There he lay dying,
Dying an honorable death.

Years later when the fields had regrown,
The people found a body,

The body of Sir Bowen

Hauraki Plains Pythons: Can They Still Win The League

After recording a win and a loss against the fifth placed Whenuakite Whenuakiwis the Hauraki Plains Pythons still have a chance of winning the Thames Valley 13th Grade A competition. They are in fourth place seven points behind leaders Mercury Bay Rising. With three more games left to play, they must pick up a lot of wins (preferably six wins) to be in with a chance to win it.

It Has Begun

The Premier League has started with a bang with some interesting results.

Arsenal beat 2015 champions Leicester City 4-3 to kick off the new season in style. Arsenal clinched the win in the last few minutes with a headed goal from French striker Oliver Giroud.

Chelsea was slightly less fortunate with a 2-3 defeat to Burnely. The English champions were brought down to nine men and were bewildered by two goals from Sam Vokes.

Liverpool survived a 3-3 draw with Watford to finish the round ninth on the table. Hopefully, Liverpool can climb up the table and win the league this year. I also hope Phil Coutinho does not go to Barca as he is one of the reasons why Liverpool wins the games that they do.

Manchester United thrashed West Ham 4-0 with the help of a brace from new signing Romelu Lakaku. I personally think that Man United had the right idea signing Lakaku as he has made an instant impact to the club.

Tottenham also had a win and so did Everton and their new signing Wayne (Wazzer) Rooney.

My Weekly Reflection T3W3

Next week I need to improve on doing more Read Theory as I only did a few tasks on there this week.

This week I have achieved being top of the leader board on Mangahigh, Yay!

Next week I would like to achieve at least 25% fluency for my French on Duolingo so I can speak, write and read French better than before.

Next week I would like to complete another milestone preferably the Learning Languages milestone. But the question is, is it possible?

Something new I would like to try is doing the song lyric category on WRITE Bingo because it sounds like fun.

Something new I learned this week was that getting gold on Mangahigh is not actually that hard.

I found Mangahigh challenging this week because I had a very hard task on triple ratios.

I really enjoyed Mangahigh because now I am top of the class and I have 137 points.

If I could change something that happened this week I would come second on Mangahigh so I still have someone to beat.

Something I found interesting was researching for my Arsenal blog post as some of the stats I found were mind blowing.

This week I discovered how to use ratios and now I find them very easy to do.

My accomplishments this week are completing 3 blog posts, my word of the week and getting 1st on Mangahigh.

My next step in Mangahigh is reaching 200 points on the leader board.

This week I learned that rugby can cause very serious injuries and is far too dangerous for the players.

The Evolution Of Football

Football, the world's favorite game. Created in the early 19th century by the English it soon grew into the most popular sport in the world. But how has it evolved from then to now?

Firstly we need to take a look at the players from then to now, take Pele and Ronaldo (Cristiano) for example, two incredibly different physics.
Image result for peleImage result for cristiano ronaldo
Pele is more of a slim speedster who relies more on aspects such as ball control more than physical strength. Then we have Ronaldo who is a lot bulkier and taller and can use his physical ability to score more types of goals than players of Pele’s time.

Next, we need to take a look at how football was broadcast to a wider audience over the years. Before tv’s most people not at the game would listen to the commentaries over the radio. Then when tv came along more and more people were able to watch football from almost anywhere in the world.

And finally, we take a look at how the ball that the players kick has evolved. The earliest balls were made of pig skin which was blown up by people, not pumps. Then when pumps were invented they started making balls with leather and then slowly evolved them into perfectly rounded balls made of vulcanized rubber. So from the 1500’s to 2017, a lot has changed in the game the world loves so much.

Ibrahimovic's 42 Yard Bicycle Kick: A Football Flashback

On the night of November 14th, 2012 Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored a spectacular bicycle kick against England from 30 yards out. But how did he do it? He did a @*^%%$^ backflip while kicking the ball into the goal from 30 yards out. And the technique to score a goal like that is so hard to master. But Zlatan's secret would be the fact that he is a former black belt and has an extremely tall and muscular build.

What Are Liverpool's Chances Of Winning The League This Year?

With this year's Premier League season fast approaching I can't just help but wonder what my boys in Red's chances are of winning the league this time around.

They are looking promising in their preseason games with wins against Atheltic Bilbao, Bayern Munich, Leicester City, Crystal Palace, Hertha BSC and Tranmere Rovers which is pretty impressive. But how does their line up compare to the other premier league teams?

They have a few very good players in their squad such as Firmino, Lallana, Mingolet, and Coutinho while also playing very well in the pre season so I think they should have a good chance of winning this year.

10 Reasons Why Arsenal Are Getting Worse By The Minute

  1. Their fan base at Arsenal fan tv are unloyal and even have ranted about how the coach (Wenger) should leave.
  2. They finished the league in sixth place last year which means they will not compete in the Champions League.
  3. Their 2016/17 league form has led to protests to give Wenger the sack. These protests have all used the phrase Wenger Out as their main slogan.
  4. Their two best players Mesut (Big Eyes) Ozil and Alexis Sanchez want to leave the club which shows how terrible it must be.
  5. Wenger has been coach for 21 years and surely now a change is needed. Arsenal needs someone fresh and a different style of football to play.
  6. After years of dominating North, London Tottenham has finally gained the upper hand which proves Arsenal are in a slow decline in form.
  7. They copied Chelsea’s 3 at the back which proves Wenger Can’t think for himself about tactics.
  8. They were absolutely wrecked in the Champions League by Bayern Munchen which means it may have been a good thing for them not to qualify for the 2017/18 Champions League because they wouldn’t have won anything anyway.
  9. They were beaten by Crystal Palace!!! And if you think that's bad they lost 3-0 which proves they can’t even beat the easy teams.
  10. Their coach needs plastic surgery because he has a lot of wrinkles.

FIFA World Ranking Analysed

The FIFA world rankings have taken some interesting turns recently. With 2014 World Cup champions Germany taking first place with Brazil and Argentina respectively taking up the 2nd and 3rd positions. Next, in 4th comes Portugal which was kind of a surprise to me. To be honest they did win the Euros last year and have Ronaldo playing for them but other than that they haven't won much in a long time.
Next, comes the biggest shock of all. Switzerland has jumped into 5th place!!!! What did Xherdan Shaqiri do to come 5th?!?!? I checked out their team squad and the only player other than Shaqiri was Lichsteiner, so how did they get into 5th?!?!?!? Something else that surprised me was that France and Italy are in 9th and 12th which surprising because they are such great teams. So why don't you check out the FIFA World Rankings it may surprise you.

Ronaldo Owes 140M Euros In Taxes

Cristiano Ronaldo has done some questionable things in his career but this is the most questionable act of all. It seems that Ronaldo copied Messi and did not pay over 140M Euros in taxes between 2011 and 2014.

One thing I do not understand is why he did this. He earns 32M Euros annually and from 2011 to 2014 he would have made an estimated 120M Euros so why does he not pay his taxes? One thing I do know for sure Ronaldo must be loaded right now.

Is Ozil An Alien

Arsenal Midfielder Mesut Ozil is no doubt a phenomenal footballer and can make world class passes but I can't just help but wonder if he is an alien.

I have a few theories on why his eyes are so big and here they are.

1. When he was a boy he had plastic surgery and the surgeon had fidgeting problems and gave a bad operation.

2. He is ET's bro and his mum is from Mars. When he was born he inherited the big eye gene.

3. He opens his eyes very wide to help him see where the ball is. This would also help him see where his team mates are.

442oons: A Football Masterpiece

About a year ago I discovered 442oons. 442oons is football based series of animations revolving around what is happening in the football world and I must say I love them.

Combining characters with exaggerated features and football-themed song parodies 442oons is a football fans dream. The creator of 442oons Englishmen Dean Stobbart is a qualified voice actor and a brilliant cartoonist. On the 8th of February 2017, the channel hit 1 million subs. This is possibly my favorite youtube channel ever.

Germany Champions Again

World champions Germany have survived a game majorly dominated by Chile to win the Confederations Cup in Russia. The game which was dominated by Chile was won by a 20th-minute goal by Lards Stindl. With time running out Vidal and Sagal both fired shots over the bar while Ter Stegen saved an amazing Alexis Sanchez free kick late in stoppage time. Perhaps a bad omen for Germany though, no team has ever lifted the world cup trophy after winning the previous year's Confederations Cup.

My Weekly Reflection T2W9

This week I have become a proud supporter of Lionel Messi writing that I tink that he is the footballing GOAT.

For my Matariki creation, I worked with Leon and Daniel to create a star out of dominos. It didn't work very well as it stopped but then on Friday the Paua and I created a turtle out of dominos and it worked!

Next week I think I need to work on writing my blog posts about something other than football.

Ronaldo Vs Messi

Confusion At The Confederations Cup As Referee Shows A Red Card To The Wrong Player

At the latest Confederations Cup match in Russia, the new VAR (Video Assistant Referee) has come under fire after causing confusion an hour into Germany vs Cameroon.

With about an hour gone Ernest Mabouka fouled German and Liverpool midfielder Emre Can. With the referee not knowing what happened, he decided to check the VAR. After reviewing all the replays he made his decision. The ref sent of Sebastian Siana who was not involved with the foul in any way. This then caused outrage from the Cameroon players making the ref check the VAR once more. Eventually, he came to the conclusion that he had sent off the wrong player and then showed red to  Ernest Mabouka. Naughty Ernest.

This week I am proud of winning the weekly current events quiz as I usually come second or third.

I think I need to work on multiplying fractions on Mangahigh as I find this really challenging.

Next week my goal is to write a blog post about Liverpool FC.

This Bus Can Drive Right Over Traffic Jams

Engineers in China have designed a bus to combat their severe traffic jams. This bus has a hole through the middle which lets cars drive through it or the bus drive over the cars.

These buses are able to carry 1,400 passengers at a time and are cheaper than the subway. The buses glide on rails and can only follow a set path. Maybe they should install some of these in Auckland's Waterview Tunnel.

The Art Of Panna

Could Football As We Know It Be Coming To An End?

Warning, this post contains horrific crimes against football.

Ifab the organization who make up football rules has put forward a case to Fifa to make games 60 minutes instead of 90. Ifab calls their case play fair with three main points.
 1. To increase playing time??
2. To improve player respect and behavior.
3.To increase attractiveness.

For one how will making the game shorter increase playing time and how will it improve the behavior of the players??

Another suggestion from Ifab was to make players be allowed to pass to themselves at free kicks which would be kind of cool.

If these rules go ahead I wonder how long the Python's games would be? 15 minutes?

Why Paul Pogba Is So Overated

Paul Pogba, the poster boy of world football. The king of dabbing when it is so out of date. But is he even that good?

Pogba was world class at Italian giants Juventus but after a highly speculated move to Manchester United for 89 million pounds the French midfielder flopped. Even with Pogba's drop of form, open goal misses and dabbing the ball the media have constantly reported him as sensational.

Another reason that Pogba is overrated would no doubt be his sponsorship deal with Adidas. I have particularly noticed Adidas putting up massive posters of Pogba at Stirling Spots. Pogba may seem like a football beast but stats and his performance shows that he is not as good as he seems.
